Deliverable D3.5 – Final Report on middleware and the evaluation environment

This report gives an overview over the adaptations and additions that have been made to the middleware with respect to the demonstrators and particularly the evaluation environment comprising fault injection.

Deliverable D2.6 – Integration of environment models in the architecture

This delivery is the second report from the work task 2.3 on environment models. Environment
models and the application specific representation, called a view, have been introduced in a
former report (D2.4). In this report, we discuss the integration of environment models in the
overall KARYON architecture defined in D2.3 and provide refinements concerning the basic
structure and the component to generate and use environment models.

Deliverable D6.3 – Dedicated workshop on high assurance (proceedings)

This report overviews the 2012 and 2013 editions of the Workshop on Architecting Safety in Collaborative Mobile Systems (ASCoMS), providing the Call for Papers, lists and descriptions of the accepted papers. It also provides the Call for Papers for the yet to take place, 2014 edition.

Deliverable D4.4 – Safety constraints and safety predicates

This deliverable reports the work performed in task 4.1 on safety constraints and safety
predicates. The focus is on defining the problems in this area needed to be solved to achieve the
overall KARYON goals.

Deliverable D3.4 – Final Report on Reliable Assessment of Global State

This deliverable reviews how the safety kernel should decide on the cooperative service level.

Deliverable D6.2.2 – Plan to use and disseminate foreground knowledge (Year 2)

This document provides a description of the main dissemination activities during the second year, as
well as further dissemination and exploitation plans.

  • Deliverable D6.2.2 ((Document not available due to confidential contents)

Deliverable D4.3 – First report on Cooperative Diagnostics

Diagnosing and debugging cooperative systems during deployment is challenging. In KARYON we address this challenge by designing MILD, providing Minimal Intrusive Logging and Deterministic replay. In this report we present the design and architecture of MILD, discuss the underlying motivations for its design, and present an initial prototype implementation. Additionally, we report insights into its flexibility and discuss performance results.

Deliverable D3.3 – Working prototype of adaptive middleware

This is a software deliverable, including software and middleware components that implement key ideas developed in KARYON. Preliminary proof-of-concept demonstrations that make use of some of these components have been prepared for the 2nd year project review. This report provides a brief description of these software components.

Deliverable D3.2 – Final Report on Network Characteristics and Coordination Techniques

This Final Report on Network Characteristics and Coordination Techniques provides the conceptual
frameworks, the models, the methods and the tools required to deal with, and to evaluate, all the
uncertainty aspects of communications.

Deliverable D2.5 – Definition of failure modes and failure semantics

In the previous report D2.2 the focus was on the development of a failure model and a failure semantics for sensor components. We introduced sensor related failure modes and explored basic approaches to estimate the validity of sensor data. This report carries further the idea of an assessment of data and deals with the problem how validity is affected by typical computational elements of a control system like failure detectors and filters. A second objective is to highlight how validities are related to safety requirements of a function.

Deliverable D5.2 – Definition of test cases for the ADAS Demonstrator

The objective of this deliverable is to document the test case elaboration, define the test scenarios, the
modules and simulation requirements relating to the automotive demonstrator

  • Deliverable D5.2 (Document not available due to confidential contents)

Deliverable D5.1 – Definition of test cases for the UAS simulation

This report aims to define the tests scenarios, test cases and simulation requirements relating the RPV simulations.

  • Deliverable D5.1 (Document not available due to confidential contents)

Deliverable D4.2 – First Report on Safety Kernel Definition

This deliverable is the first report from the work task 4.2 on the Safety Kernel definition. The
focus is on providing a first definition of the Safety Kernel architecture and its components.

Deliverable D1.3 – Standards Analysis Report

This deliverable is devoted to the analysis of the standards enforced in the two
domains under study, concluding about the similarities and roadblocks between them.

Deliverable D2.4 – First report on the integration of environment models in the
architecture

In this report we describe the main ideas behind our environment modelling and how an explicit
environment model will be used in the KARYON architecture. The environment model will be
exploited to interpret sensor information, provide a stable and assessable sensor interface, to
derive predictions and awareness of critical situations and to support coordination of vehicles.

Deliverable D2.3.1 – KARYON architecture (public version)

This deliverable contains the public parts of deliverable D2.3.

Deliverable D2.3 – KARYON architecture

This deliverable provides the final definition of the KARYON architectural pattern, which may be instantiated to specific system architectures for the provision of cooperative functionality in different domains, including the automotive and the avionics domains.

  • Deliverable D2.3 (Document not available due to confidential contents)

Deliverable D6.2.1 – Plan to use and disseminate foreground knowledge (Year 1)

This document provides a description of the main dissemination activities during the first year, as
well as further dissemination and exploitation plans.

  • Deliverable D6.2.1 ((Document not available due to confidential contents)

Deliverable D4.1 – First report on safety constraints and safety predicates

This deliverable is the first report from the work task 4.1 on safety constraints and safety predicates. The focus is on defining the problems in this area needed to be solved to achieve the overall KARYON goals.

Deliverable D3.1 – First report on Supporting Technologies

This deliverable is the first report on the work performed in tasks T3.1, T3.2 and T3.3, providing an outline of the services and structure of the supporting technologies. In the report, basic characteristics and uncertainties of networks are analysed, first assessment of appropriate middleware is provided and concepts for deriving a global state based on local information are presented.

Deliverable D2.2 – First report on failure modes and failure semantics

This first report on failure modes and semantics focuses on sensor components. From the classification of sensor failures we derive checks that will be integrated in the component and allow to rate the validity of sensor information. At the interface of this extended component, the data and the respective assessment of the validity will be available. The report also presents a first approach to assess and monitor the validity of data when propagated through a chain of processing and communication components. The validity concept is exploited for a calculus that enables to reason about the overall data validity of the entire chain of computation.

Deliverable D2.1 – First report on the KARYON Architecture

The preliminary architecture described in this deliverable provides a high-level view on how a KARYON system must be structured, laying down the fundamental architectural blocks and describing their purpose and function, as well as the generic properties that they must enjoy.

Deliverable D1.2 – Preliminary Report on Standard Assessment

This deliverable presents initial work that was devoted to analyse the standards enforced in the two domains under study and providing a preliminary conclusion on similarities and roadblocks between them.

  • Deliverable D1.2 (Document not available due to confidential contents)

Deliverable D1.1 – Requirements Specification

This deliverable presents initial work that was devoted to produce a description of the considered use cases and requirements for safety (in relation to the particularities of each use case), as well as to identify an initial list of generic requirements, which are relevant when aiming for the safe coordination of autonomous and cooperative vehicles in general.
